I am Dave Davenport , owner of Leopard's Valley Safaris, and I will be your host for your unforgettable African Safari. We will guide you through some of the most amazing Eastern Cape landscape, with large areas for free range Kudu hunting in the Malaria and Bilharzia free, Camdeboo Karoo area. Our hunting areas are completely safe, and no special shots or medication, that you normally wouldn’t need at home, is required.
We offer the serious African hunting enthusiast, as well as the novice African hunter, an ALL INCLUSIVE service, from airport pick up, accommodation, food, beverages, 4x4 transport, a qualified guide as well as a tracking team, and finally drop off at the airport.
Giving you the unique opportunity of hunting and observing a vast range of top quality game in their natural environment. We are especially family orientated with a number of different packages to choose from, and will be more than happy to cater for spouses, minors, or just your best buddy, letting them hunt alongside you, for the observer daily rate of $250 per day, helping you shoot your package or taking extra game at our listed price. Your Safari will take you through the Eastern Cape Region, offering the widest range of game for the hunter out for the experience.
Where we are…
Leopard’s Valley is situated on the ranch Libertas, in the Game rich Camdeboo area in the Karoo, an unfenced working stock ranch that forms part of a family trust of 11 000 hectares, close to 30 000 acres, and has most of the wild indigenous animals free roaming across its plains. Nestled in the Camdeboo mountain range, between Graaff-Reinett - one of the oldest towns in South Africa, and Somerset East.
These plains were once hunted by the ancient San tribes, or Bushmen as they later became known, who have left their mark by means of rock art and artefacts. A small museum has been erected in their honour, as well as all the local archaeological and paleontological finds, all situated close by.
Only 2 and a half hours drive from Port Elizabeth and the Port Elizabeth International Airport. The world famous Addo Elephant National Park and Cradock Mountain Zebra National Park are both only 1 and a half hours drive from camp.
One of the most enchanting features of Leopard's Valley Safaris, is the beautiful mountainous amphitheatre the homestead and lodges are situated in, see Google Map. We are Malaria and Bilharzia free and NO special medication is required. We are within quick reach of superb medical attention.
Hunting areas...
We hunt mainly free range, UNFENCED conservancies or ranch land. This is added to our existing neighbouring concessions of 42 000 acres of unfenced private game reserve, and 2 other private reserves each being 37 000 acres of abundant game, including free roaming 4 of the Big 5. This gives us a total hunting area of 190 000 acres of adjacent areas. These properties have most of the 30+ hunt able species of Southern Africa within an hour’s drive of the Main Lodge.
These properties exclude the approximately 100 000 acres in the Coastal Grahamstown area of the Eastern Cape as well as Northern Cape, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa's Northern Province and Mpumalanga.
