Have you ever wondered what you eat on an African safari?
At Leopard’s Valley Safaris, food is an important part of the experience. Whenever possible, we prepare and serve the very game harvested during your safari, honouring the animal by making full and respectful use of the harvest.
From backstrap grilled over open coals and slow-cooked potjies to homemade venison pies, hearty stews, biltong, burgers and traditional favourites, every dish is prepared with care and shared around the table or beside the fire.
For us, a safari is about far more than touring or hunting. It is about ethical wildlife management, respect for the land, authentic African hospitality and the moments that bring people together at the end of the day.
Nothing goes to waste, and every meal becomes part of the story you take home.
Below is a small selection of the meals our guests have enjoyed at the Leopard’s Valley table. Every safari is different, so the menu changes with the season, the harvest, and the stories shared around the fire.
