The Leopard's Valley Experience and Authentic Wildlife and Conservation program

Our family-friendly wildlife experiences offer far more than a traditional hunting trip. Be apart of our well managed conservation efforts to preserve the wildlife in our area.

Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the natural beauty, history, and wildlife of the region while gaining a deeper understanding of responsible land and wildlife management.

Throughout your stay, you will be accompanied by experienced professional guides in fully equipped 4x4 vehicles, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and informative experience. Activities include guided game drives, walking safaris, and hands-on educational discussions about local ecosystems, wildlife behavior, habitat management, and conservation practices.

Guests have the opportunity to learn how wildlife populations are managed sustainably, including how age, health, and population dynamics are assessed before hunting an animal.

During guided walks and field observations, our team explains the factors used to evaluate animals and the important role responsible harvesting plays within a broader conservation framework.

Beyond wildlife activities, we offer historic tours, Big Five game drives, and visits to local attractions and points of interest, providing a well-rounded experience for families, nature enthusiasts, photographers, and outdoor adventurers alike.

For those participating in hunting activities, we believe in showing respect for the animal by ensuring that nothing goes to waste. Guests can take part in the preparation of harvested game and enjoy traditional dishes that celebrate local culinary heritage, creating a meaningful connection between conservation, sustainable use, and the food on our tables.

Whether you are interested in wildlife, conservation, history, photography, local culture, or sustainable hunting practices, our goal is to provide an enriching outdoor experience that creates lasting memories for the entire family.

We are also involved in donating to Hunts of a Lifetime - an organisation that helps young people going through the worst time of their life, to experience magical outdoor experiences around the world.  We hosted Alyx and her mom, Missy from Minnesota, who were selected by Hunts of a lifetime to fulfil her dream to hunt a kudu in Africa.  Alyx is a keen outdoors woman, but with medical costs soaring, a trip to Africa was completely out of the question. So we were honoured to be able to give her this opportunity to visit and experience our corner of Africa, and make her hunting dreams come true.  In the true Leopard's Valley Experience, she got to see elephants, learn about South African culture, see our Historic sites and taste the very Kudu that she harvested.  It was an absolute  privilege to meet someone like Alyx and to share our special piece of Africa with her.  We were encouraged by her love of wildlife and her drive in the face of adversity.

School Fundraiser

For a number of years Leopard’s Valley safaris has been donating to support our local school fundraiser.  This is the main fundraiser for this school, and has brought in over $20 000 every year.  It is a wonderful concept.  Accommodation and animals are auctioned off, artwork is sold as well as many other wonderful items.  All  of which is donated towards this event.

Rhino Conservation

Every year we try to sell a rhino experience.  Where we get YOU to donate time and money to fund the darting of a local rhino that requires medical treatment or a basic check up. You and your family can be present for this amazing experience. This can be anything from de-horning, DNA samples, pregnancy testing, or just a basic health check.   The funds are used to hire a helicopter and a local vet to dart the rhino.  Once all check ups are done, we take some photos of the benefactors.  All excess funds are used by the landowner and rhino owner to help with the high costs of anti poaching efforts.  Truly showing the benefits that we can contribute to local conservation of threatened species.   We are very proud to be part of this rhino initiative.
